The Band

The Dapper Gents are a folk-rock band from Portland, ME, are known for their eclectic mix of popular hits and deeper cuts, all enriched with vibrant cello solos. Available as a versatile duo, quartet, or DJ, they are the perfect choice for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, receptions, and private parties. Serving New England and beyond, you can catch them performing regularly in Portland, Portsmouth, at ski resorts during the winter, and on various beaches throughout the summer.

The band was formed when lead singer Jacob McCurdy was invited to expand his solo act to the upstairs stage at Bull Feeney’s. The current lineup features McCurdy on vocals and guitar, Danny Rand on cello, Stu Gurley on upright bass, and Jonathan Clement on drums and vocals. They bring a unique twist to pop, rock, and folk hits from artists such as Mumford and Sons, The Pixies, The Lumineers, and Alabama Shakes.

The Dapper Gents have graced numerous corporate events, weddings, and private parties across the eastern seaboard, performing in states including Maine, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Washington D.C., and Florida.
