The Band

The Dapper Gents are a folk-rock band from Portland, ME, and are known for their eclectic mix of popular hits and deeper cuts, all enriched with vibrant cello solos. Available as a versatile duo, quartet, or DJ, they are the perfect choice for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, receptions, corporate events, holiday shindigs, and private parties. Serving New England and beyond, you can catch them performing regularly in Portland, Portsmouth, at ski resorts during the winter, and on various beaches throughout the summer.

The band was formed late one Friday night at Bull Feeney’s in 2013 when lead singer and guitarist Jacob McCurdy met Danny Rand (cello, but he can sound like a lead guitar or organ too). Shortly after, Stu Gurley (bass, upright bass, or piano) and Jonathan Clement on drums and vocals joined to bring you the full band versions of your favorite songs. They bring a unique twist to pop, rock, and folk hits from artists such as Mumford & Sons, The Pixies, Alabama Shakes, Chappell Roan, Taylor Swift, The Darkness, The Lumineers and Fall Out Boy.

The Dapper Gents have graced numerous corporate events, 300+ weddings, and private parties across the eastern seaboard, performing in states including Maine, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Washington, D.C., and Florida.
